Got old CDs, DVDs or Blu-rays gathering dust? It’s time to dig them out!

Our new Every Disc Makes a Difference campaign is now underway, giving unwanted discs from across Selby and wider North Yorkshire a new purpose instead of leaving them gathering dust or going to waste.Throughout September and October, you can donate unwanted CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays at participating collection points.

The discs will be transferred with support from Agricon Netherlands to recycling specialists MEWA, where their materials can be recovered and recycled.

For every kilogram recycled, 50p will also be donated to Up for Yorkshire’s £50k for 50 Years appeal, supporting grassroots projects and organisations in our communities.

Look out for collection points across North Yorkshire. You can currently drop discs off in charity shops across Selby but we hope to feature more places soon.
