Moving Forward is York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority’s new campaign that looks at enabling healthy and thriving communities so everyone can thrive within York and North Yorkshire.
This comes with an investment of over £7m in four key areas:
• Active Travel
• Movement, Activity and Sport
• Men’s Mental Health
• Connected to the Outdoors
This won’t be done in isolation by working together under one ambition, we have a bigger voice. The campaign has been shaped by working with regional experts and partners to improve people’s wellbeing and to empower and strengthen communities, which will in turn have a positive impact on our regional economy. Work is already underway to address issues such as access to transport and housing availability and affordability in the region, and the Mayor and YNYCA are eager to build on this progress.
